opshop/rummage haul

I pinky promised you in the last post that I would post pictures of my opshop and suitcase rummage scores from the past week. An dI managed to keep that promise. 

Here we go...

On Sunday I bought this adorable necklace from Holly of Pannikin. It was only $1 and I actually don't really own that much jewellery. So I bought this along with a little plastic dinosaur necklace.

I couldn't leave this one. I wouldn't have cared how much it is,  I needed this top. I wore a purple and pink version just like it when I was five to my mum's wedding. I was so lovely, but I think it got lost during the Queensland floods at the start of this year. So I had to have it. I wore a tiny pink and purple one with matching pants. My Mum didn't even wear a dress to her wedding. She just wore a black shirt with bright patchwork flare pants (which I'm extremely envious of, those pants are like heaven) and clunky mary jane shoes.

Myself at the wedding, 2003. I'd literally just turned five. Mum and Steve actually got married on my fifth birthday. :)

These jeans were from an op shop I've only just discovered. It's only a 10-15 minute bike ride from my dad's house and nearly everything is $2. Which is pretty nifty. And they have an amazing collection of 'Mom Jeans'. I just want them all.  But I am a tiny person and I barely fit anything normal people sized. So that kinda sucks.

Yay! High waisted tartan pants! These were from a lovely lady at suitcase rummage. Her entire stall was just hippy clothes everywhere. There was a nice vibe around there. Everything was tie dye and floaty. And everything was cheap too!

My old high-waisted shorts are far too small now, so for $2 I couldn't pass these up.

Two new tops! The one on the right is this awesome Christmas-y-ish Hawaiian shirt thing. And the other one is just a nice yellowy sweater top with short poofy sleeves. 

According to my sister, this top looks like scrambled eggs.

I don't really own many miniskirts and I really liked the print on this one. This was also from the nice hippy lady.

Seriously. Perfect fitting-floral-pastel-frilly-poofy dress. How can I not?

You may protest, but I have a secret love for velvet. I bought another purple one with lace and little 3D roses too. But it
a a really weird shape.

Ugh I love high waisted flares. Especially clown tartan ones.

To be honest I don't actually know whether this would be 60's or 70's. I'm a bit hopeless. But It's so gorgeous.

I also thrifted this lovely fabric for $2. I think I'm going to hang it over my doorway or perhaps make it into a curtain.

Suitcase Rummage!

Okay, so on Sunday I had a stall at Suitcase Rummage. It went quite well, apart from the wind practically tearing everybody's stalls apart. The weather was ridiculous. Everyone thought it would be a perfect day, until of course the time had come when we were all setting up our stalls and the constant gigantic gusts of wind caused everyones stalls to fly everywhere. But other than that, I earned a bit and bought even more!

Sorry for the lack posting, I've just been super lazy lately. But last saturday I went to 'Ancient Arts Revival'. Which is a little market/festival/exhibition thing with workshops and stuff too. There was one market stall in particular that I absolutely could NOT stay away from. Louise Kennedy from Nobby Village was selling off some of her wonderful vintage clothing collection. I didn't get many decent photos of the actual stall, but I bought some lovely things... Oh, and I met Kitty! The one and only Kitty from Kitty's Vintage Kitsch!

I don't really own any gloves and I figured I should buy some even if we are coming out of winter her in Australia, but the were lovely and only $3.

I couldn't bare to see these beauties go to anyone else. I had to buy them.

This was the only picture I managed to get of what I was wearing, even if you can't really see. But yeah.

Hello!

 A few days ago I went to suitcase rummage (again), and held a stall (again). Seeing as I have my own camera now,  I managed to take a couple of photos at the little time I wasn't minding the stall...

This was our stall. It was a little cramped seeing as we had a lot more things to sell than last time, but it went alright.

 And these are my new favourite thing. I got a perfect fitting pair of black Dr. Martens for just $10!

 I also bought this dress for $2.50 and it makes me feel like a cross between a disney princess and a pile of lace and tule.

 And I bought this lovely 'Little Old Lady Hat' -as my lovely friend Holly calls it- for only $8 from a super nice lady with Chelsea Cut and a blue fringe who is called Zen.

Home Sweet Home. Oh, whatever.

Honey, I'm home.

Now I've got my hands on a camera again I can show you pictures of stuff. yaysies. My camera's broken and my dad wouldn't let me use his to take photos of my scores from suitcase rummage, so I had to wait until I got back to my mum's house so I could use her camera. Anyhow, I now have photos of the things I bought... And what I wore...

Also, the other day I bought this liquid eyeliner, which is amazing, for just $7.

I bought this fringed genuine leather vest from suitcase rummage, $10.

This jumpsuit was from Tree Of Life

I bought this necklace from the local opshop for just $2 and I absolutely adore it.

I also bought this, 'thing'. I'm not really sure what you would call it to be honest.
